Prayer 2020

Bible Study

We have a lively and interactive Bible study group which gathers together for fellowship and study each Wednesday evening at 8.00 p.m.

The group uses a different programme of study notes covering a wide range of subjects.  However, the ensuing discussions are varied and interesting and often go off at a tangent but always come back to the main points having learned quite a lot on the way!

There is a lot of sharing within the group and everyone has a voice, and although we may not always agree, we respect and uphold each other’s confidences and opinions.

We find ourselves in an empowering environment in that members of the group are encouraged to take turns in leading the group in the hope that they will in the future lead groups of their own.

The door is always open to others who would like to come along.

The Prayer Group is not meeting at the moment, but don't let that stop you making time for individual prayer.

Prayer 2020

Pray in 2020 on the 20th of each month at 20:20 for 20 minutes

Pray … that God will give many opportunities to speak about Christ. (Colossians 4:3 NLT)

We are taking part in the HOPE campaign to pray on the 20th day at 2020hr for 20 minutes that we make and take opportunities to talk about and spread the word about Jesus

Through Prayer 2020 we are asking God to work through all that is done in 2020 – personal witness; groups that meet in church, outreach plans, evangelisation in all its many forms. This is an opportunity to think and plan how we take our love of Jesus out and about in Flitwick.

We plan to pray around the town and also to pray with our friends from Ampthill in some months.

On 20 January, we shall be praying at Flitwick Methodist Church to start the programme. We will combine this with a planning meeting beforehand so we can plan for the next few months. We hope to ask various of our church groups to lead prayer over the year and help identify venues.

Please join us on 20 January 2020 at 7.15pm for a planning meeting and 8.20 (20.20) for prayer
